Each year the Patents Office sponsors a special award in the annual BT Young Scientist and Technology Exhibition.
This year the award was won by John D. O'Callaghan and Liam McCarthy from Kinsale Community School.
John and Liam came up with a cheap and efficient method of detecting infection in cows milk using ordinary washing-up liquid.
