The BT Young Scientist 2012 took place from Thursday 12th January to Saturday 14th January.
Quinn Unger from Mount Saint Michael, Rosscarbery, Cork was the winner of this years Patents Office award with his project.
Title - A single pedal replacement for double bass pedals.
To substitute the drive-shaft operated double bass pedals with a single pedal design to free the "hi-hat" for the drummer's convenience.
